My love for lake travel grew from personal experience — vacations with my husband and our two boys, chasing adventure in places like Lake of the Ozarks, Grand Lake and Table Rock Lake. My husband, Jeffrey, actually grew up at Lake of the Ozarks, and both sets of our kids’ grandparents live on lakes, so lake life runs deep in our family. Whether our boys like it or not, we’re raising them to appreciate jumping off docks, catching fireflies, and the slower pace of a lake trip.
How it started
After years of planning trips for my own family and friends, I realised I wanted to help others find that same magic. That’s when I became a certified travel advisor with Fora Travel, specialising in the best lake destinations in the U.S. — from luxury resorts and cosy cabins to houseboats, hidden coves, and waterfront restaurants you’d never find in a brochure.
